At the premiere of Gaze for Gaze (Blik for Blik) by Niels Rønsholdt last year in Copenhagen, a unanimous press declared the opera a unique and courageous work, and this is further pinpointed with the nomination of Niels Rønsholdt to the recognized Carl Prize for Gaze for Gaze. Now the opera will be re-staged at SPOR festival in Aarhus in a new setup with SCENATET as well as a number of new performers from Denmark and abroad, thus giving the public a new opportunity to experience a major genre-experimenting performance that challenges the boundary between the scene and the audience - in an intimate and sensuous clash between light and darkness, love and hatred. Gaze for Gaze will be performed in an intimate setup with a limited number of audiences per performance, and therefore the audience is encouraged to reserve tickets in advance.
Experience SCENATET in Gaze for Gaze at SPOR festival Friday 4 May at 20.00, Saturday 5 May at 21.30 or Sunday 6 May at 17.00.

During the last two years, SCENATET has been working to transform composer Juliana Hodkinson's theatrical concert piece Angel View into an art video in collaboration with filmmaker Michael Madsen. In a conceptual framework, the piece weaves together a range of both humorous and poetic recordings of music and video. Among others, SCENATET's musicians have filmed themselves and each other in connection with tours and concerts around the world. The final result Angel View Movie will have its world premiere at SPOR festival 2018, where the piece will give a unique insight into SCENATET's work with innovative formats across different artistic fields. The exhibition at Rum46 runs during three days, from 4 to 6 May.
