Time: 11.00 - 14.00
Place: Dokk1, SPOR festival 2017, Aarhus, Denmark
SCENATETs exciting collaboration with the Greek-German composer, artist and writer Manos Tsangaris continues with the presentation of the cycle LIVING SPACES, from which SCENATET will perform three pieces: City Pieces (Window Piece), Home and Southern. You can experience these invigorating pieces at DOKK1 over three days during SPOR festival 2017.
The cycle Living Spaces is a site specific and stationary music theatre that rethinks the relationship between everyday life and staging, and it will occur in the midst of seemingly normal days at DOKK1 in Aarhus. Here ensemble, soloists and scenes are set in place in several locations of the library at DOKK1, where they will penetrate the everyday situations and create small moments of magic. Audience and by-passers will experience a composition of movements, light, colors, music and speech, framing and staging the day-to-day life in new ways.
Living Spaces composes spaces and events that are imbedded in everyday situations. These composed moments will occasionally stand out clearly from the environment and sometimes only slightly differ from the surroundings. This means that the spectators, physically and mentally, become part of the performative process. They are the ones to complete the piece.
Quite simple and fundamental questions are asked with Living Spaces: What does home mean to us? What interconnects us among each other? What is nourishing us? Where are we headed? It’s about love and disappearance, death and transcendence, and lastly about recurrence.
With Living Spaces SCENATET performs the first extensive music dramatic productions by Manos Tsangaris in Denmark.
At SPOR festival SCENATET will be collaborating with the Greek pianist Lenio Liatsou and local singers, actors and performers.
