Concert Portrait of Georges Aperghis and Bent Sørensen
Time: 19.15
Place: He Luting Concert Hall, Shanghai
As a part of the 7th NEW MUSIC WEEK at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, SCENATET will perform a concert with music by Georges Aperghis and Bent Sørensen.
Aperghis (born 1945 in Athens, based in Paris since 1963) is an European pioneer in experimental music theater. In his music the theatrical elements often mix the absurd with the poignant and the satirical with an emotional impulse. The dramatic action is never abstruse or distant but wholly integrated into the musical action.
Sørensen is one of the most influential Danish composers with acclaimed performances throughout the world and commissions by the best ensembles and performers of contemporary music.
PROGRAM:
Bent Sørensen: Ständchen
George Aperghis: La Nuit en tête
Bent Sørensen: Phantasmagoria
