Infinito Nero at Warsaw Autumn
Time: 22.30
Place: Warsaw Autumn, Poland
SCENATET takes part in the renowned international festival of contemporary music, Warsaw Autumn 2016. SCENATET will perform Salvatore Sciarrino’s Infinito Nero in a personal version created in collaboration with Lore Lixenberg.
In 1997/98 the Italian composer Salvatore Sciarrino (b. 1947) wrote the, at once terrifying and impressive work, Infinito Nero. The work is a monodrama with the highly symbolic subtitle; One Act Ecstasy.
Infinito Nero is based on the visions and utterences of the Italian Renaissance Saint Maria madaleine de Pazzi. At one point in her life her visions came so fast that there were eight scribes employed to write down what she was saying.
SCENATET stages – in collaboration with director Loré Lixenberg – an ecstatic evening devoted to music.
