Time: 20.00
Place: Musikhuset København

Together with choreographer Tim Matiakis and composer Niels Rønsholdt Scenatet has created a universe that in a symbiosis of movement and music gives us an insight into a secret community, its rituals, and memories. House dancer Marie Kaae Schmidt takes the stage together with five performers and musicians from the Scenatet ensemble.

Memoriam reminds us of the value of the communities we are part of and makes us reflect on the rituals and traditions that enable communities to pass on experiences from one time to another. In a universe of reminiscences of stories told and stories waiting to be told, in an uncertain present we are confronted with a disturbing past that resonates and forces us to look into a bleak future.

On stage is the world-renowned house dancer Marie Kaae Schmidt. Together with Scenatet’s ensemble, which consists of Anna Jalving (violin & viola), Katrine Grarup Elbo (violin), Matias Seibæk (percussion), Signe Asmussen (soprano) and Mathias Monrad Møller (tenor), she shapes a world that both touches and deceives.
