Composed by: Manos Tsangaris

SCENATET has ventured into an exciting collaboration with the Greek-German composer, artist and writer Manos Tsangari with the new work: City Pieces (Window Piece).

Tsangaris is known for his original work where sound, word and drama merges into previously unknown formats. He shows an exceptional ability to affect and move the audience with artistic means that leaves the audience with all senses wide open.

City Pieces (Window Piece) rethinks the relationship between everyday life and staging. Through site specific performances the piece takes place in the middle of everyday life, enter into well-known situations and create moments of magic. Audience and by-passers experience a composition of movements, light, colours, music and speech, framing and staging the day-to-day life in new ways.

The piece was premiered in Hong Kong in October 2016 at Connecting Spaces Hong Kong. See photos from the world premiere.

The collaboration between SCENATET and Tsangaris was first initiated, when SCENATET performed a number of Tsangaris’ music theatre miniatures at SPOR festival 2013. The collaboration returns to SPOR festival in 2017, where SCENATET will perform City Pieces (Window Piece), Home and Southern.

SCENATET’s performances in Hong Kong where supported by The Danish Conductors Association.
