The Danish Arts Foundation supports SCENATET’s new film project
SCENATET are very happy to announce that we have received support from The Danish Arts Foundation to produce and release an art music film based on the piece Angel View by composer Juliana Hodkinson.
The film project is funded through the Danish Arts Foundation’s new pool for artistic publishing projects, which particularly utilize their publishing medium. Read more about the pool here.
From a background in chamber music, Juliana Hodkinson has developed her composing activities towards mixed formats such as instrumental theatre, music theatre, and collaborations with film, text and photography. In 2015 she is the recipient of Denmark’s largest music prize, the Carl Nielsen og Anne Marie Carl-Nielsens Legat.
The Angel View Film will be a transformation of the score and live concert to an artistic cinematic release made in collaboration with the Danish filmmaker Michael Madsen.
Angel View was comissioned by SCENATET who premiered the piece in 2014. Angel View is an assemblage of urban and musical debris, somewhere between a wordless live radio play, enacted film soundtrack and instrumental theatre, composed by Juliana Hodkinson.
